Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri has been a popular Indian actress who has gained fame for her role in the films Hum Aapke Haiin Koun and Beta Saajan. The actress began her career in the 80s before coming to prominence with her performance in Tezaab, a film where she starred alongside an established actor Anil Kapoor. In her next film Dil, Aamir Khan appeared with her. Born into a middle-class family in Mumbai she began learning to dancing at a young age. When she was a teen She began to act and struggled for years due to the fact that her films at first were unsuccessful. She eventually found success and went on to become one of the top actresses on the Indian film business. Following her marriage the actress took time off from acting until she returned. Recently, she was a key player in Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit was nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards. Of these she's won eight. Padma Shri was awarded to her, which is the fourth-highest civil honour in India. Her name is well-known for her social works as well.
