Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musical family. Her childhood was spent listening to traditional and old boleros, along with classic romantic songs and the Ranchero style. Ana is a fan of tangos and operas as well as other dramatic shows. Her mother teaches her how to sing. However, she began more intensive singing lessons through Flavio Belcerra when she was just 16 years old. Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera singer and tenor. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. While a young student and professional, she performed with many chamber groups and opera choruses in Guadalajara and Mexico City. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo in the traditional Latin American music at private performances. Passion and enthusiasm in music, art and performing keeps her involved in many local projects as a performer and teacher. Ana was a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as well being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana thanks the Inland Master Chorale for allowing her to perform the traditional Latin American song.
